ITINERARY

DAY 1: MERIDA CD - CITY TOUR IN THE CARNAVALITO

Arrival and reception at Merida airport and transfer to your hotel. According to your flight arrival time, you will arrive at Carnavalito's offices at Calle 55 # 504 between Calle 60 and 62, Santa Lucia Park, to take a panoramic tour of the city, the schedules for the visit are 10:00, 13:00, 16:00 and 19:00 hrs (Sunday only 13:00 and 15:00 hrs). Get to know Merida, founded by the Spaniard Francisco de Montejo on January 6, 1542, being that in reality the Mayan Indians had a great city known as T'ho long before the Spaniards arrived, the stones of this city were used to build the Holy Church of the Cathedral, located in the zocalo where you can also find the Casa de Montejo, the Government Palace and the Municipal Palace. Merida, the white city with its main avenue Paseo de Montejo, which has its colonial buildings such as the Canton Palace and the beautiful monument to La Patria, among other equally magnificent places. Return from the hotel on your own. Lodging.

DAY 2: CD. MÉRIDA - CHICHÉN ITZÁ ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE

Breakfast. Departure to Chichen Itza; facades of approximately 1553 years old, these famous Mayan pyramids are located an hour and a half away. The name Chichen Itza derives from the Mayan words Boca-del-pozo (chichen) of the witches-of-water (Itza), the site is divided into three areas the northern group (purely Toltec) the central group (early period) and known as the old Chichen between these only the first two groups are visited. Lunch included. Return to your hotel. Lodging.

DAY 3: CD. DE MÉRIDA - CENOTES SANTA BARBARA

Breakfast. Tour to the Cenotes Santa Barbara: Cascabel, Chaksikin and Xoch', we will take a ride on a truck (platform driven by mules or horses). You will get to know the 3 types of cenotes: grotto type, semi-open and open. A day to enjoy the crystal clear waters and without current of the cenotes, where you can swim, they are natural pools. Lunch included. Return to your hotel. Lodging.

DAY 4: CD. DE MÉRIDA - MÉRIDA AIRPORT

Breakfast. Free day. We suggest a visit to the city center. At the indicated time transfer to the airport. End of services.

• Acceptance of this itinerary implies full compliance with the circuit.
• The order of the itinerary may be changed without altering its content.
• Departures may be subject to variations and/or modifications depending on occupancy.
• Passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date of the trip.
• There are no refunds or cancellations, change in name penalty USD $250 + VAT and this change can only be made prior to the issuance of the airline ticket. Once the ticket is issued it is non-refundable, non-cancellable, non-endorsable and non-exchangeable. Please consult directly with your Travel Consultant prior to the settlement of your package.
• Globetrotter Excursions is not responsible if the passenger is unable to travel on the stipulated dates.
• Optional excursions are paid directly upon arrival at the destination. *Prices subject to change without prior notice. Once the total amount of the program has been paid, the following conditions apply:
  • Cancellation 30 days prior to departure: 25% of the land portion cost
  • Cancellation 21 days prior to departure: 50% of the land portion cost
  • Cancellation 10 days prior to departure: 75% of the cost of the land portion of the trip.
  • Cancellation less than 10 days prior to departure: Land portion is non-refundable.
