ITINERARY

DAY 1: SAN JOSÉ

Arrival in San Jose, reception and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Lodging.

DAY 2: SAN JOSÉ - MANUEL ANTONIO

Breakfast. Today you will continue your trip to the beautiful and paradisiacal beaches of Manuel Antonio, which are well known all over the world, especially for their impressive combination of tropical forests and white sandy beaches. Undoubtedly an unforgettable few days await you where you can relax and enjoy your 2-night stay.

DAY 3: MANUEL ANTONIO

Breakfast. Today we will enjoy a half day excursion to Manuel Antonio National Park (Monday closed) which contains an enchanting combination of lush tropical forest and beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters listed by Trip Advisor (Travellers Choice 2013) as the best in Central America and the park in turn recognized in 2011 by Forbes Magazine as one of the twelve most beautiful national parks on the planet. Within the park there is a great variety of vegetation, lagoons, mangroves, 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds. You will be able to observe several species of birds, reptiles and monkeys including the three-toed sloth. After the walk along the trails in the park - if you wish - you can stay on your own for a while longer to relax, enjoy the beach and sunbathe. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the hotel facilities or explore the area on your own.

DAY 4: MANUEL ANTONIO - ARENAL

Breakfast. At the agreed time transfer to Arenal. Free afternoon. Lodging.

DAY 5: ARENAL (EXCURSION TO BALDI HOT SPRINGS)

Breakfast. At the indicated time transfer to Arenal. This route offers beautiful landscapes accompanied by picturesque rural towns such as Rio Cuarto, Aguas Zarcas and La Fortuna de San Carlos, in the latter and if weather conditions permit, you can appreciate the greatest natural attraction of the country; the Arenal Volcano that will welcome you with its majestic volcanic cone. Towards the end of the afternoon, a visit to the relaxing hot springs of Baldi is scheduled, a place where you can relax and enjoy the healing properties of its minerals, this, in the different thermal pools heated directly from the volcanic veins near the resort. Lodging.

DAY 6: ARENAL - SAN JOSÉ

Breakfast. At the agreed time transfer to Arenal. Free afternoon. Lodging.

DAY 7: SAN JOSÉ (RAPIDS)

Breakfast. With an experienced guide, conquer the Class III-IV rapids in the most intense section of the river and feel your adrenaline levels rise. During quieter periods, marvel at the abundance of exotic wildlife on the banks of the Pacuare River and listen to your guide's fascinating commentary. All rafting equipment and round trip transportation from Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui are included in this tour. Lodging.

DAY 8: SAN JOSÉ

Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to board the flight back to the city of origin.

• The order of the itinerary may be changed without altering its content.
• Departures may be subject to variations and/or modifications depending on occupancy.
• Passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date of the trip.
• There are no refunds or cancellations, change in name penalty USD $250 + VAT and this change can only be made prior to the issuance of the airline ticket. Once the ticket is issued it is non-refundable, non-cancellable, non-endorsable and non-exchangeable. Please consult directly with your Travel Consultant prior to the settlement of your package.

• Optional excursions are paid directly upon arrival at the destination. *Prices subject to change without prior notice. Once the total amount of the program has been paid, the following conditions apply:
  • Cancellation 30 days prior to departure: 25% of the land portion cost
  • Cancellation 21 days prior to departure: 50% of the land portion cost
  • Cancellation 10 days prior to departure: 75% of the cost of the land portion of the trip.
  • Cancellation less than 10 days prior to departure: Land portion is non-refundable.
