ITINERARY

DAY 1: TUXTLA GUTIERREZ - SUMIDERO CANYON - SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS

Arrival in Tuxtla Gutierrez must be before 10:00 a.m. otherwise a supplement applies. Reception at the Tuxtla Gutierrez airport and transfer to the pier, where we will take a boat ride through the majestic Sumidero Canyon, natural wonder of Mexico and icon of identity of Chiapas to the world; we will sail for two hours on the Grijalva River between imposing walls of more than a thousand meters high, here we will appreciate various animal species. When we get off the boat we will begin our tour of the historic center of Chiapa de Corzo. We will continue to San Cristobal de las Casas and drop you off at the hotel for check-in. Rest of the day at leisure. Lodging.

DAY 2: SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS - MONTEBELLO LAGOONS AND EL CHIFLÓN WATERFALL

Breakfast. In the morning at 08:00 hrs departure to the Chiflón waterfall, a natural waterfall that is surrounded by lush vegetation formed by reed and palm groves, we will finish with a visit to the most beautiful lake area of Mexico: the Montebello Lagoons. The Natural Reserve that bears this name, is composed of several hectares of pine trees, oaks and jungle, and where we can see several lakes, and admire, weather permitting, the different shades of the waters that make up this beautiful place. Return to San Cristobal de las Casas. Lodging.

DAY 3: SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS - AGUA AZUL - MISOL HA - PALENQUE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE

At 04:00 hrs. we will leave for Agua Azul with box lunch included, a set of waterfalls created by the currents of the Otulún, Shumuljá and Tulijá rivers, forming shallow canyons with vertical cliffs. Afterwards, we will continue to the Misol-Ha waterfalls. We stop for you to enjoy a lunch included without drinks. At the end we will visit the archaeological site of Palenque. This Mayan city stands out for its architectural and sculptural heritage; and where we can admire several constructions: The Palace, The Temple of the Foliated Cross, The Temple of the Sun and others. Transfer to the hotel in Palenque. Lodging.

DAY 4: PALENQUE - YAXCHILAN AND BONAMPAK

Breakfast en route. At 5:30 hrs. we will leave for the archaeological site of Yaxchilan, a boat trip on the Usumacinta River which is the division between Guatemala and Mexico for approximately two hours. Yaxchilan (Piedras Verdes in Mayan) is a city of the Mayan civilization located on the Usumacinta River. This archaeological site is renowned for the large number of quality sculptures found at the site. Lunch included without drinks en route. Visit to the archaeological site of Bonampak, a Mayan archaeological site located in the Lacandon Jungle, this discovery is attributed today to two Lacandon Indians: Jose Pepe Chambor and Acasio Chan. This site stands out for its painted murals from the Classic Period, the paintings date back to 790 A.D., and were made in a complex technique. Afterwards, we will return to Palenque. Lodging.

DAY 5: PALENQUE - ROBERTO BARRIOS WATERFALL

Breakfast at the hotel. At 10:00 hrs. will begin our visit to the spectacular waterfalls of Roberto Barrios, this place is characterized by its crystal clear turquoise water, and the beauty of its waterfalls, for being a quiet and secluded place. Return to the hotel and overnight.

DAY 6: PALENQUE - VILLAHERMOSA AIRPORT

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning. Transfer to the airport at the indicated time. End of services.
